Hi
Is Refill ink available for CANON IP 4600?
I'm in the UK

Do not be in a hurry to risk your printer and create sub standard
photographs that have a tendency to fade. Plus the fact nobody had enough
time to break Canon's patents on the formula.

Coming from a person that uses non-OEM photo paper makes your comments
about worthless. Quality third party ink is just as acceptable as third
party photo paper. I guess hypocrites can't admit this.

Wrong!

Once again Measershite you are wrong.

Cartridge World stores can refill those cartridges.

I also understand that they are waiting for their own compatibles to be come
available soon.

Probably more garbage from China.
www.radinks.co.uk will also be supplying their own compatibles soon.

That word compatible is meaningless. All the word really says is that the
ink will squirt thru the nozzles.
I have used my local Cartridge World for the last 6 years when refilling
my canon printers with no problems or loss of quality at all.(
www.trustedreviews.com ).

You would be correct if you said that in your judgement you saw no loss of
quality.

Yet you use compatible photo paper. Why is that? Could the word
compatible really mean something after all?

Yet again, you use non-OEM photo paper so what does your judgment say
about its quality? You are really less worried about quality and more
interested in being a PITA in this newsgroup.

Here are the Image Specialist numbers

CLI-221BK BLACK DYE WJ1109 (4500=WJ1109)
CLI-221C CYAN DYE WJ244 (4500= WJ2032)
CLI-221GR GRAY DYE WJ1120 (4500=none)
CLI-221M MAGENTA DYE WJ6121 (4500=WJ6121)
CLI-221Y YELLOW DYE WJ797 (4500= WJ797)
PGI-220 BLACK PIGMENT WJ1128 (4500=WJ1020)

Okay so it looks like the black pigment and cyan take a different ink,
at least in Image Specialists.

Different model from mine, but I've had good service from:-

Hi Mike
Contacted a couple of UK ink suppliers, one said that Canon ink hasn't
changed right through the 4000,4200,4300,4500,4600 range
I don't know, here is their web site
http://www.inkfastcartridges.co.uk/...n-Black-Pigment-Refill-Ink-100ml.&Item_ID=371

I'd assume that they are biased. They might claim that Epson and Canon
was identical if they got one color only in stock. I suppose that
probably THEIR ink did not change.

Many people reported that BCI-6M and CGI-8M had very different colors

Canon themselves advertised that the newer ink had much better UV
stability (ChromaLife 100). I did not check for CLI-521 whether they
where just smaller or changed as well.

Thanks, Martin.

Mine's an older model and I've tested the Jet-tec inks I use against the
Canon range, and don't want to enter unknown territory.

You just cannot believe the fly by niters who will not properly disclose
information. Maybe the put melamine in the ink.

With all of the fly by niters it is unknown territory.

Maybe they put melamine in your brain. Have you burned all that
compatible photo paper you bought yet? If not then you need to shut
your pie hole about compatible ink. So much for your OEM mantra. You
are no different from us refillers. Since you already crossed the line
and use compatible photo paper you might as well do the same for ink.
There is no difference in functionality between ink and paper as
compared to overpriced OEM products from Canon.

Dear Measekite,

I've been using carts from printeressentials.com in seven (7) of my
Epson Stylus 760, 860 and 1160 printers for over 5 years and have had
no problems with any of them. The black carts are $1.80 each and the
tri-color are $3.71 each when you muy at least 10 of each in any
single order, and they have carts for almnost any brand and model of
printer. If you're buying from anyone else, you're getting carts that
are probably from them, because they only sell to resellers.

No, I don't work for them and do not resell their carts, even though I
could probably make a lot of money if I did.

I bet if you got into the cart reselling business yourself, you would
make a lot more money than the pittence that Canon or whatever other
"Brand" companies pay you to keep up your persistent rant on these
inkjet printing newsgroups! Do you get paid by the number of raves you
post, or by the word?
