referrer Tracking and Puzzling stats - can anyone help?

Hi All

Just started to use some tracking code to track pay per click / referrals
to website and have a few questions on the info being presented.

the compnay is Metro Finance.

1) What could create so many 'Single page views' these are less than 0.5
second views and I'm getting 40 -50 a day. (pay per click?)

2) When I look under most frequent referrers 'Metro Finance' comes up as top
3 how can this be?

3) When I look under most popular Keywords used to search 'Metro Finance'
ranks 1st or 2nd, up to a 100 people a day cannot be searching for 'Metro
Finance'??

Quite normal. It doesn't take long to see that you are on the wrong
page.

You already wrote that you use them for "pay per click" so no surprise
there.

Why not? If I looked for info on "Metro Finance" that was what I would
be searching for.

thanks for your time in replying to my questions

I am still a little confused as to why metro finance would be the most
frequent referrer, metro finance has four pay per click campaigns on the go
with 20 odd key words / phrases (mortgages, first time buyers etc..) so I
expected to see the most popular keywords to be at the top of the referrer
list as people would be searching on those and not 'metro finance' afterall
they dont know who metro finance

OR is it that these people have are returning from a previous visit and type
in metro finance so they can find the site again???


With regard to so many sigle page views of a around .5 seconds, why would
some one click a link to do with mortgage only to find out that they were on
the wrong page? I am probably being paranoid but could some degree of
click fraud be going on?
