"References" Missing in Excel????

I'm an Access Programmer used to using "Tools - References" in Access.

We are a large Company where all Office 2003 Installations are done by
the IT Dept. On one Excel setup, strange things happen (IE - automation
VBA from Access-to-Excel doesn't work when assigning a value to a Named
Range.

Are there "Tools - References" in Excel, or something in an Incomplete
Install, where things like the above could happen?

I don't speak the Access, but my first bet is that you have an error in your
code.

If you post the snippet of code causing the problem, maybe someone will jump in.

Dave - thank you.

There is No error in my code...it works fine on other Excel Installations.
That's what's so puzzling...it's this one particular Excel Installation that's
doesn't work.

If you're automating excel from Access, then maybe you're missing a reference to
excel in the project in Access?

Just a guess, though. You haven't shared too much (well, for me anyway).

No...in Access' Tools - References, I have Office 11 (2003) Objects checked
for Access and Excel. The "offending" Excel PC does other "strange things"
even when not automating w/ Access. We've asked for another Install from IT.

Thank you - Bob
