Folks:

I am using Microsoft's IE6 browser on a Windows XP Home Edition platform.

My browser has a horizontal TOOL BAR called LINKS. I have been searching
for references to LINKS in the REGISTRY; but without much success. Any
links or references appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
John.

John,
What are you trying to do? The Links folder is just a Favorites folder
except that it can be shown on the toolbar.

I like the features and functionality of the LINKS horizontal Tool Bar in my
IE6 browser.
I would like to create another such Tool Bar that I can integrate into my
IE6 browser.

Thanks,
John.

I supected that's what you wanted to do. I don't think you can duplicate the
Links bar. You can add folders to it (use short filenames) and increase
greatly the number of links contained in it.

John,

Are you a programmer? It appears that "rebar control" may be
a relevant search term for you.

(Google web search for
"links toolbar" site:microsoft.com
)

This newsgroup is mainly for IE6 operation and recovery issues.
There isn't very much programming expertise here.
Unfortunately there are no newsgroups specifically aimed at
programming for IE6 so when this type of question comes up
I usually point out the ie5.programming and ie55.programming
set of newsgroups. I am not familiar enough with those newsgroups
to know how active they are; so you might have more luck in some
of the other programming newsgroups such as the ones for inetsdk,
vsnet or even dotnet, for example.

Good luck
