I currently have Active Directory and DNS on a server. I did DCpromo to get a secondary server to be redundant for Active Directory. My domain is local with forwarders to the external Internet provider DNS addresses, with STATIC IP information.

Can you point me in the correct direction (hints or articles) to insure that I get DNS going on the second server so that if the original is down or needs replaced that it will be seamless to the users? Thanks

So long as machins are pointed at both DNS servers, and the second one is
setup with an AD integrated zone for your AD, you'll be fine. If you have
any other primary zones on the first box, you'll need to create secondaries
for them on the new box as well (just right click and goto New>Secondary
Zone).
