?In My Pictures I no longer get the dialogue box asking if I want to reduce
the size of a photo I am emailing. How do I get it back please? Thanks

I have found the answer in John Inzer's answer to a previous identical
question from Natanya on 3/20/2006. Thank you John, it worked for me as well.

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type: (click your Start button...click Run)

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

Ooops...typos...I'll try again...

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:
(left click your Start button...left click Run)

Type or Copy/paste the following into the Run field.

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

Yes...

Go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)
