I saved an 857 KB powerpoint. I have cable e-mail and it
took me 3 minutes to send it.
The person receiving it, received it as a 1174 KB
powerpoint, via a telephone line e-mail.
What can I do to reduce the presentation before it is sent
and why where the extra KB added?
Thanks

All things considered, that's a small Powerpoint file already. But you need
it smaller, try this: http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00062.htm

Janet,

The 857 to 1174 could be

The original powerpoint files is 857kb
When you convert it to an email.....it will always get bigger...hence the
1174kb

Is that where you and your friend are seeing the difference?
