Reducing Fonts + Effect on Photoshop Load Time

Here's a post I made b4 & the results (*'d) I achieved
with the help suggested here:

I just got the new Photoshop 8 which takes forever to
startup. The FAQs suggest that you delete some fonts
not being used. I have about 125 fonts loaded of which
only using about three or four than I know of --
Verdonna I use whenever possible since studies have
determined that is one of the easiest to read but for a
few applications, like Internet Explorer, that is not
an option. Otherwise I would have just one.

Ideally it would be nice if there was some place where
the last date of each fonts last use was available. The
detailed view of the fonts folder I don't think has
this available.

I'm not sure what happens if an application needs a
font but doesn't find it installed. I am sure I do not
want to go through that laborious procedure of
resetting all of fonts in the appearances tab of the
desktop.
* I used Font Frenzy $0 @ http://www.fontfrenzy.org/
to manage my fonts
* which has a snapshot capability but I kept fonts
based on
* whether it sounded & looked familiar. (ariel,
courier,..) Over
* the past week there have been NO ill effects from
reducing fonts by ~80%


My conclusion: Painless & low risk proceedure
worthwhile if u use APS > 2/week

CMD didnt like '/k' part - here's full text of what
happened. 161 Files(fonts?) is too high & all dates r
recent so maybe the '/k' was important.

That error message is actually helpful -- you were trying to
execute the command '/k', which isn't a command.

Solution: You forgot to type the actual comamnd, which is cmd.
