Hi,
A friend of mine wanted a 2nd PC so her kids can have an own PC for interet
and I had some old stuf left so now I am building a omplete PC based on a
P200 wiht 64 meg of RAM and a 1.2 gig harddisk.
I managed to install win2k.

One of the problems I encountered was how to install SP4;-S ( Not enough
free diskspace)
I managed to complete it by adding an external drive that i borrowed. But
now i only have abou 120 meg free with only win2k installed.

Is there anything I can remove from the system while keeping a stable
running PC?
I saw the main diskspace (about 400meg) is used by stuff in system32
directory?
Also I found out there is much space used for installing the SP4 patch

How can I free up more space?

thanks for help!

Bert

Have you looked at hard disk prices recently? The smallest
you can buy is 40 GBytes, and they cost so little that you're
wasting your time trimming down Win2000, especially
because two days after you've turned your back, the hard
disk will be fuller than before.

Mr. Bert ...

I completely agree with Pegasus. 1.2 GB will only cause you MUCH pain down
the road as it will be a never ending battle to have enough disk space. Go
out and buy a new drive. You will be much happier if you do.

OK I got your message.

The PC is running at the moment!
I added some other drive now there is still 1.8 gig free.

There will never be much software bet installed on this PC

Thus explorer, irfanview ICQ en messenger

thanks for the advise
