When you install the package on your computer it will place a number of cab
files on your PC - you can use these to install directly on the device
itself. What you must be aware of is the CPU version of the device as the
runtime is processor dependant. For example for a Pocket PC 2002 device you
would require the netcf.core.ppc3.ARM.cab. You can find the files either
within the
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003\CompactFrameworkSDK\v1.0.5000\Windows CE\wcexxx\xxx\
folders which are separated by windows ce version (3 or 4) and cpu
identifier (ARM, MIPS, SH3 etc)
Or if you have installed the Service Pack it creates its own folder beneath
Program Files. Because of the size you may find it easier to pass a storage
card to your user to install rather than doing a beam which could take a
while for these ~2meg files - quite a while stood with your ir ports
aligned! This depends on the scenario in which the installation takes place.
