This is embarrassing, however, I have somehow or other
gotten my internet explorer (home page-Yahoo) to redirect
to an adult search engine when I log on using internet
explorer (the blue "E")
I have tried to reset my Home page options in the control
panel, that didn't work. the default homepage is set at
this adult search engine (http//:xwebsearch.biz/) and I
can't get it out of there. I have searched for it on my
hard drive and it doesn't show up at all.I want it off my
computer!
Can anyone help me to get this fixed?

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

The problem may be due to a spyware.

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate
the malware products. Re-apply the above fix if necessary.
** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **
