Redirecting shares to another server

I have a server (Server1) that is hosting a standalone DFS
root (Share1).

There are many folders in this directory that are hosted
on local disk ([E:\Root\]Folder1, [E:\Root\]Folder2,
[E:\Root\]Folder3).

We are in the process of moving these folders to other
servers (Server2) and making them DFS links (\\Server2
\Share2\Folder3).

I have a folder under Folder3 (SubFolder3.1) that is
currently shared as \\Server1\SubFolder3.1. When I move
Folder3 to another server and make it a DFS link, is there
a way that I can maintain \\Server1\SubFolder3.1 and have
it point to \\Server2\Share2\Folder3\SubFolder3.1?

Hopefully I made this clear enough...

Thanks!

If you are migrating your shared folders to Windows Server 2003, take a look
at the following KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=829885 It describes a way of maintaining
UNC paths using a new feature in DFS. This requires a call to product
support to obtain a hotfix, but the hotfix is free.

We also provide a toolkit for migrating shared folders and maintaining UNC
paths as described in the above article, but I'm not sure how the tool will
work for DFS root folders that have shared folders underneath them (DFS root
folders aren't valid source folders for this toolkit). .

The toolkit can be downloaded from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/upgrading/nt4/tooldocs/msfsc.mspx

Will this hotfix work with Windows 2000? The server that
is hosting the DFS root is running Win2k Advanced Server.
