Redirecting Serial Ports

I have a Win2k Server and Win2k Clients, no Citrix or anything else.
I'm trying to get access to a local Serial device when inside a session but
to no avail. I have tried checking the Serial Ports check box in the Client's
Local devices section but it doesn't seem to work.

I have tried some different TS Clients to see if that is the issue but there
is no difference.

I have installed some psion software to the server and attempted to connect
to a psion but it could not find any psion devices. I couldn't even see any
extra ports within system details.
I also tried connecting to serial ports with a VB app, only Com1 would even
open and that is because its on the server itself.

Can anyone help?

this works only if you have a Win 2003 Server. However, the options are
available in the RDP-Client also if they do not work (also local
drives).

I thought it might be that, thanks.
