What's the best way to do this in a Win2K3 Domain environment? We'd like to
store it in the user's home directory, and not as part of the roaming
profile.

What registry modification is necessary?

Thanks in advance.

I am using Group policy:

User configuration / Windows Settings / Folder Redirection - My Documents

I've used the group policy method and you can have multiple locations if
needed for different groups. i.e. a folder for sales, HR, finance, etc. But
if you are using XP make sure you enable this policy referenced here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q305293/. Otherwise, folder redirection
along with other policies take 2 or more logins before taking effect.
Setting XP to act like 2000 will make sure the folder redirects on the first
login. Hope this helps.
