can I automatically redirect a page at a certain time i.e 6:00pm for a
duration of time i.e. 6:00pm-6:00pm (a 24 hour period.)
 
wouldn't that be the same as forever?

What I am trying to do is redirect my home page to a maintenance page (i.e.
site down for maintenance) for a period of time. Example: From Sunday night
at 6:00pm to Monday morning at 6:00am
 
I would just replace the home page, however you will still have a problem when user come via search
engine, etc. to pages the bypass the home page, etc.

I see.
What do you do during this maintenance down-time?
If you're working locally (on your hd) and then Publishing you won't really
have any downtime.

It is a time when no businees will be conducted therefore I want no-one to be
able to access the site. After talking to my admin people, I found out I can
just disable the site. Thank you for asking.
