Hi ALL,

I have AddIn devoloped on C# 2.0 VSTO 2005.
Also i use Redemption ver 4.4. The problem i encountered is when my
AddIn
run in Outlook 12 and Exchange Server 2003 installed on same machine
the Redemption
seems to be not working, the Rdemption failed to read/write named
props. The interesting
that when AddIn run on OL 11 and Exchange 2003 installed on same
machine everything works
perefectaly.

Any ideas how resolve this issue???

TNX in advance.

Hi,

Outlook and Exchange Server are not supported on the same machine!
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/266418/en-us

Both install their version of MAPI which goes partly into system32 so the
last install corrupts the former to some degree.

Is there some way to avoid this issue ???? Some workaround ???

I instaslled Exchange + Outlook on same machine only for demonstration
my product reason.

Any suggestions???

Use a virtual machine product like Virtual PC, Virtual Server or VMWare to
run a second machine on your real PC so that you can separate Exchange
Server and Outlook. Everything else is unsupported and as you saw some
things do work and others don't, which even depends on which Server and
Client you mix.
I would guess that Exchange 2007 and Outlook should mix, as Exchange is
64-bit and Outlook 32-bit, so they use different dlls. And IIRC Exchange
2007 does not use MAPI any more. But that forces you to install e 64-bit OS,
i.e. Windows Server 2003 x64 i at the moment
