Red x where smile should be.

I am not seeing :) for some reason. I get a red x instead. What it the
reason for this? Does anyone know?

One more if you don't mind. This box I uncheck somehow is getting checked
again and again. Any ideas?

I did click apply but I think it might have something to do with ZoneAlarm
because I reinstalled it and all seems well. Thanks.
