Red crosses instead of images

In both Incredimail and outlook express I only get a red cross where an
image should be. I am told there is nothing wrong with the programmes, so
I'm guessing it must be a setting problem. Hope someone can help me.
 
Open Outlook Express
Select Tools--Options and look at the Security tab.
Uncheck "Block Images and other external content in HTML mail"

Does that fix it?
