Red cross instead of picture

When I am on any websites the pictures won't upload.
I get a box with a little red X in it .I can view it by
right clicking on it and clicking view picture.What
do I need to do to be able to view the pictures without
this hassel I am running windows XP home edition.Please
can someone help me with this problem , ThankYou.

This is not the right newsgroup for your question ... however, start
up your web browser, then go into

Tools | Internet Options and click on the Advanced tab.

Under "Multimedia" there is a check-box called "Show pictures".
Check this box, then press "OK".

Hope this resolves your problem.
 
You can also clear the temp files. This can cause the problem that you are having. TOOLS> internet options> click the buttons to delete the temp files and cookies.

Thanx for the suggestions but none of them worked, any
more ideas would be much appreciated.
