I Have windows Vista Basic Full edition.
When I try to delete more than 30 files Vista tell me Recyling.... and then
freezes.
I either have to reboot or restart windows explorer either thing not fun.
it Happens every time without fail.
I really want to get rid of a lot of files and deleteing them 20 at a time
doesn't seem fun.

Also I sometimes get an error about the file name being to long for it to be
put in the recycler bin. It then just deletes the file. I thought windows
vista could hadle files that were actually created by win XP. Does win xp
actually support longer fle names??

have you tried turning of UAC if it's enabled i know it sounds stupid but i
use to have that problem in the beta edition

Oh thank you a million it's amazing how much better everything overall is
just by turning uac off.

I recommend you do not operate with UAC disabled. If need be disable it on
a situational basis but not for normal operations.
