Not to be overbearing; but it did occur to me that the"Recycle Bin" is an
area where there should be a little more "research" and/or rationale(or
explanation) as to why it does not function as a "delete" bin? Any comments
would be useful. Even the" OMG that would be terrible for most users." would
be at least a start of a discussion of this little "trash bucket"; that is
seemingly deceptive to alot of people.

x-no-archive: yes

Well, right off it should be called a "Bit Bucket". That's my opinion, and I
didn't charge you for it.

Maybe rename it to Trash. Then when people empty it, have it go up in flames
briely then show with ashes at the bottom from that point on. Maybe people
would get it then.

Though it might be interesting to have a Recycle Bin folder that's always
empty - never contains any icons. That way after people delete something
they can open that open folder and say "Yep, it's been deleted".

Shift + Del will delete something and it won't go into the Recyle Bin .. but
doing it that way means never having to say you're sorry.

Set it to delete and not hold items. Simple.

Also if you spend a bit of time on the general groups and find that even
the opportunity to save their files twice through the saving graces of
the Recycle Bin is completely missed by a huge number of people. That
gives the rationale for why it doesn't delete automatically.
