When deleting files they do not go to the recylce bin and
the disk space is not freed up! Turning off recycle bin
enables files to be deleted and recover the disk space.
Has anyone else got this problem? I suspect it's a
Microsoft fault in updates but they won't help or admit
problem is their making. If you have this problem and our
unaware of it your hard disk will very quickly fill up!

Mike,

What happens to the file then when you delete them with
the Recycle bin switched on??

Do they just stay, disappear, what?

Mike,

I'm not aware of any problems with the Recycle Bin in Windows. It's
probably not a Microsoft problem; if it were, we'd have literally millions
of customers calling us.

Do you by chance have any kind of undelete utilities on your machine? These
utilities wedge themselves into the operating system and intercept fuctions
that are normally handled by the Recycle Bin.

Can you give us a better idea of the symptoms you're seeing? What happens
when you delete a file?

Hmm - his post answered that or did you skim over it (Hint: Second
