Just added secound hard drive. Everythig works except I
got an error messge saying recycle bin corrupted would
you like to delete. For a secound I could see everything
in my bin untill I clicked yes. Then all the files
dissapeared and now when I delete something it do's not
appear in bin. I can hit proporties in bin to undo delete
and that works to restore the file. I looked up Q297760
and downloaded and installed the XP service Pack but that
did not help. Whats up? I downloaded a trial version of a
program called XP Smoker that Tweaks XP before I added
new H.D. It has a feature to disable recycle bin but it
is not activated. Could a flaw or error in this program
do this. Any help would be great becouse it is driving me
nuts trying to figure it out!! I messed around with this
program a day before I added new hard drive. I created a
restore point but if I restore before the hard drive
addittion will that mess up my hard drive instilation?
Thanks help Steve

Hey Steve,

I'm not really clear as to what you are saying

You say

I can hit proporties in bin to undo delete
and that works to restore the file.

But in the sentence before you say

Then all the files
dissapeared and now when I delete something it do's not
appear in bin. I can hit proporties in bin to undo delete
and that works to restore the file.

So if it doesn't appear in the bin, what are you hitting properties on to
restore?

If you right click the right click the recycle bin icon on the desktop and
click properties is set to use one setting for all drives, default 10% or is
each dirve configured individually ?
How much space is set for the new drive ?
