Recycle Bin error (Help needed, please)

Hi, I have a minor annoyance when I try to empty my recycle bin in winxp
pro and was wondering if someone could help?

When I empty my recycle bin first a window pops up and says "Confirm
Multiple file delete? Are you sure you want to delete these six files? I
click Yes and then a window pops up and says "Error deleting file or folder
- Cannot remove folder Robbie Robertson - : Cannot find the specified file.
Make sure you specify the correct path and file name. OK."

This problem first occurred when I was ripping mp3's from a scratchy cdrom
using Jet Audio player. It froze while ripping so I hit alt/ctrl/delete.
I then had problems deleting the damaged mp3's in my music folder but was
eventually able to send the problem folders, files to the recycle bin.

I've tried chkdsk and it doesn't help. Maybe I need to try again, I don't
know. Any suggestions? Thanks.

if you don't have anything in your recycle bin that you want to save then
you can try this...

boot into safe mode
then open up windows explorer
unhide the protected operating system files
you can then try deleting the recycler folder (this is called differently if
you are using winxp home but is basically the same word) by holding on the
shift button when you delete the folder. this will delete the whole folder,
which is your recycle bin. it will be recreated when you start windows or
when you first delete a file or folder again.

Well, partial success. I did as you suggested, but was unable to delete
"c:\recycler" until I tried Tune Up shredder. I rebooted to normal mode
and discovered that my recycle bin was fixed (thank-you)however, when I
went to windows explorer to see if there were any changes I realized that
all I had done was to restore the original folder to "C:\new folder\new
folder\Robbie Robertson". I've tried everything I can think of to delete
this folder including going back into safe mode and trying the same thing,
but no success. I did another chkdsk and I even tried going into regedit
and removing the Jetaudio MRU directories left over from the offending cd
ripping session to no avail. I'm still getting "Error deleting C:\newfolder
\newfolder\robbie robertson - the system cannot find the file specified" or
"error deleting C:\newfolder\newfolder\robbie robertson - the directory is
not empty".

Any other suggestions?

Cut offending folders and pasted them to recycle bin .Used Paragon
Diskwiper Pro 5.5 and it solved my problem.
