Recurring event

I know how to make a recurring event, but I need some help with making
a rather strange one. If it can't be done, I can accept that.

Our recycling company comes on odd dated Thursdays. Is there a way to
make a recurring event for that? I've checked all the options, and
it's just not jumping out at me.

When you say, odd dated Thursdays, do you mean every other Thursday or just
those Thursdays whose date is an odd number?

There is no pattern like that as far as I know, but...
You could create the appointments in Excel, with one row for each
appointment, then import the excel sheet into Outlook Calendar.

Importing a calendar event is easy to do. To begin,

1. create one appointment, setup correctly manually within Outlook.
2. Export that appointment using the Export wizard in Outlook:
File > Import and Export > Export to a file > Excel
3. Open the file in Excel
4. Create additional appointments by copying the first one from your export
file
5. Save the file
6. Go back to Outlook and import it
File > Import and Export > Import from another File > Excel

Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to check into that WS: Repeat
Appointment app.

And Graeme, it's on Thursdays that are odd dated. Like this month we
have the 7th, 21st; then Nov. 11th, 25th; then Dec. 9th, 23rd. It's
not every 2 weeks sometimes. Sometimes we only have a week until the
next one, sometimes it's 3 weeks between pickups. Then if the day
falls on a holiday, well you get the idea.

Have a look at WS:Repeat Appointment for Outlook at www.websetters.co.uk.
This may assist with your requirement and version II, scheduled for release
this quarter, will definitely enable you to perform the function you
require.

We will be sending out a newsletter to registered and version I licensed
users with details on version II at the end of this week but it includes the
following features.

a.. All the features of WS:Repeat Appointment I plus
b.. Ability to mix appointments that meet a pattern with adhoc
appointments. For example you can set an appointment for the first Monday of
each month and then modify with adhoc function to change some Mondays to the
Tuesday.
c. Specify which days of the week will be part of the repeat pattern, you
can schedule an appointment to occur every 5 days but only include Monday,
Wednesday and Friday in the five day count.
d. Send invites as well as set personal appointments
e. Configure up to four time zones so that when an appointment is set, you
can see what time the appointment will occur in each time zone. Ideal for
setting appointments that involve people in different time zones
(e.g.conference calls)
f. Set different appointment times for some appointments in the Repeat
Group

.....and more

The newsletter will also provide details on a free upgrade to version 2 for
all licensed users of version 1.

Register for a free evaluation of WS:Repeat Appointment I at
www.websetters.co.uk or contact us at (e-mail address removed) if you would
like to receive the newsletter showing full details of WS:Repeat Appointment
II.

Regards
Graeme
