Bummer.

Care to share what version and any error messages you get?

| Every time I try to edit a recurring appointment Outlook
| stops "responding."

Outlook 2004. No error message. Just freezes and then
tells me it's "not responding." When I force it closed,
it opens in safe mode, but whenever I right click or left
click on a recurring appointment, it freezes. I removed
and reinstalled Outlook. No change. Then uninstalled and
reinstalled the complete Office 2004. That appeared to
solve the problem. I added a recurring appointment and
accessed it a couple of times. Then the same thing
happened again.
I'm a stand-alone user--hooked to my own LAN to connect
with a portable, but no server, etc.
Thanks.

It seems to me that the problem can be brought on by
trying to close the recurring message when a reminder is
set. There's an error message saying something about the
reminder occuring after the appointment--or something
like that. I remove the reminder and close out. And the
problem occurred. I remember that happening at least once
just before such a problem happens.
