In the event that a user has accidently deleted the
shortcut......how specifically do you recreate it?

This is a Microsoft Access (the database application) newsgroup. Not a
Windows newsgroup.

In the event that a user has accidently deleted the
shortcut......how specifically do you recreate it?

Sorry about that....once a person uses the wizard and
applys admin rights.....the option of a shortcut is
given. What happens after you have given security to your
DB....what happens if someone deletes the the
shortcut...how do you recreate it?
Thanks

To create shortcuts to secure Access apps, the fastest is to use a shortcut builder tool. Search for Access shortcut builder.

To create shortcuts to secure Access apps, the fastest is
to use a shortcut builder tool. Search for Access shortcut
builder.

Go to Start, Search, Files or Folders and search for msaccess.exe. You are
looking for the one generally located in
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office folder. Right-Click it and choose
Send To Desktop (create Shortcut).

Go to the desktop and you'll see the new shortcut - right click it and
choose rename, giving it a meaningful name. Right-click it again and choose
properties. You will see the target line with the path to msaccess.exe.
Click at the end of that and add
"path to secure mdb" /wrkgrp "path to secure mdw"
