recovery of old user settings and info

my computer had a virus. i was forced to reload the
windows xp operating system. in doing this, all my
settings from before are gone. i can find all my pictures
and files and even the old desktop in My Compter/C Drive.
Is there a way to restore or recover all my old setting
and old user info?

Try running a system restore back to before the virus infection date and that should recover your settings. You will lose any
installed programs after that date (they will have to be reinstalled).

Start --> all programs --> accessories --> system tools --> system restore
