Have 2 identical computers. Both were running when there was a power outage.
Both were on line via a broadband connection. When rebooted I ran a
restore, on #1 from a point just before the outage and all is OK.
Both are current with all windows updates including sp2.
The second now thinks the D drive is the system drive and can't find any of
the restore points. CMOS identifies the D drive as the master and C as
slave.
I tried installing windows but it says the current instalation is newer than
the disk and refuses to install.
Any suggestions other than formatting the C drive and reinstalling
everything?
Many thanks in advance for any advice--Mel
