Recovery earlier version of PPT file, before changes made?

I was stripping out some slides from a large PPT document to send to someone.
Went to save the smaller file and hit Save, not Save As. Is there anyway to
recover the earlier version of the docuement (similar to Word)? Note earlier
version is backed up on external hard drive, but I have make radical changes
to it since last back up 3 days ago. Help please!
 
Hi

Some versions of Vista have a 'restore previous version' on right click of
the file. Other than that you're a bit stuck unless you emailed it to
someone before the unfortunate event, in which case it will be in your sent
items.

You may want to look at Shyam's free sequential save add-in to avoid this
happening in the future:
