I recently upgraded from Norton Antivirus 2004 to Norton Antivirus 2005.
After this upgrade my computer boots up properly, however, during start-up
process, prior to Windows actually loading, there is a screen that pops up
momentarily now that says: "Please select the operating system to start: MS
Windows XP Home or MS Windows recovery Console; use the up/down arrow keys to
move the highlight to your choice and press enter to choose. Does anyone
know how to eliminate this from the start up process?

You'll need to R.click my computer,properties,advanced,start-up/recovery,edit,
"Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
The above text is all you should end up with in editing, anything after that
you
need to delete

This worked fine but the computer now boots up extremely slow?? my
"fastdetect" was after the NoExecute - could this make the difference?? I am
not sure why it boots up so slow now. Thanks for the info.
