Recovering the Primary Zon File

I have a primary DNS and two secondary DNSs. Some how
the primary files got corrupted. I not to sure if this
is the right way or not but I made a copy of the
secondary file placed it on the primary DNS and renamed
the file as if it was the original primary DNS file.
Will this work or is there another way?
