Hi,
I'm not sure if this is possible but I urgently need to
recover an e-mail deleted from one of our users deleted
items in Outlook express.
Does this mean that it is permanently deleted or is it at
all possible to restore it?
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Dale Vickery

Pretty permanent. It is highly unlikely you will be able to recover it
short of backup.

However, this a *very* faint hope that if the user replied to it (and
quoted the original text), that some of it may be in Drafts, Outbox, or
sent folder.

You can sometimes get lucky by looking through Inbox.dbf with
a hex viewer/editor, assuming the message store hasn't been
compacted since the deletion.

Yes you can recover a deleted mail.

Search through Temporary Internet Files...Look in the sub-directories...open
every *.tmp-file you find, in [NotePad].
That's it...good hunting, my friend :-)

You can alternatively....copy all of the *.tmp files you find in the
subdirectories....into a new directory..
.....renaming them *.html...open them in Internet Explorer and copy/paste if
you like.

Okay ?

Tried to reach you by private email...but got my mail back....
