Ivan
Hello.
I use 2 disks in my system to be able to recover data. I
just had drive C: dye in a way that the boot somehow came
from disc D: for a while then system completely failed to
boot. Drive D has data that was created using Maxblast,
and I have been succesfull many times to just swap the
drives to recover.
Since swapping drives did not allow the system to boot,
I purchased a new drive to replace the dead drive and
loaded WinXP on the new drive. I can see all of the data
that I would like to copy back to drive C; from the
surviving drive D:
Here is my problem: Most of the folders and files on drive
D: are not accessible and give the following error when I
try to copy them:
Cannot copy "filename"
Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that
the file is not curently in use.
I have lot of space on disk C; and D: , and the files
are not in use. I am obviously getting into protection.
How do I get around this protection problem?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to write up the
answer.
