recovering files

i deleted one of my user accounts. when doing so i was prompted if i wanted
to create a copy of my files, and i said yes. however there appears to be
some missing?

i worked on a WORD doc on sun and deleted the account on tues, and that
file is not there.

i even tried to use NORTON UNERASE WIZARD to recover the file to no avail

is there anyway of recovering say from a WORD backup or temp file.

PLEASE HELP
