recovering deleted files

hi,

Windows defender has deleted a selection of files and programs which I
specifically set to 'ignore'. Is there any way to recover them?

If they were not quarantined, I don't have enough experience with the
actions of the new program to be sure. This wasn't possible with Microsoft
Antispyware as far as I could spot in the newsgroups.

For either program, the recourse would be the same--look for data recovery
programs. These are not free--but usually they have a free trial version
which can determine with some degree of accuracy what they can recover
before you need to send $.
