recovering deleted data

Hello, I have made a mistake and now I could use some help. Is there
an easy way to get back files that have been deleted? If so could you
point me in the right direction please. thanks in advance

Depends on the detail.

You have checked the trashcan havent you ?

If its not in there, one of the recovery programs may be able
to get it back, or at least the start of it if it was fragmented.

If the partition is formatted NTFS, your chances arent great.

possably check your recicle bin

if not check other hard drives do a good system chek

if not their you are out of luck

If you have just deleted the files, stop using your computer if
possible and get an undelete program. Your computer just renames a
file when you delete it and leaves it until space is needed on the
drive, then it overwrites it. There are several around, including
free ones. I use a site called Snapfiles.com. Look under the Freeware
dir and Data Recovery Tool section.
