Hi

I am in real need of assitance here. When preparing to
format my c drive because I was having some performance
issues, I backed up my documents and settings folder to
my e drive, so I wouldn't lose any documents or e-mail
etc. I formated my c drive and everything went fine. Then
when I restarted it came up with something
like "recovered orphan file" and sometimes "deleted
orphan file". I immediately went to my documents and
setting folder on my e drive and it was completely empty.
Is my data still recoverable. Ever since this happened I
have not written to the e drive in case my data gets
overwritten. Please help.

Thanks

There are quite a few data recovery programs available, some free, some
pricey. Do a search on Google, and you'll have plenty to choose from.

Or, if the data is irreplaceable, take the drive to a data recovery company.
