Recover lost Files/Data

Some files have been deleted from my windows xp machine by mistake - I need to retrive these files, I've heard there's ways of doing this - anyone know how I can do this

Hi Damien

If those files aren't in the Recycle Bin, you will need to use a 3rd party program to retrieve them:

Generally, you restore them from your weekly or daily
backups.

Unforuately this was a test pc, it wasn't on the network yet, therefore it wasn't been backed-up
