recover files

i recently had to reinstall my system, so i formated the
disk n installed my windows xp again. now i am not able
to access the my documents i had saved before ( it was on
another drive ) the dirves i use are ntfs, how can i
recover the files ?

please help

ensure the file systems
fat32 and ntfs
fat32 does'nt understand what is ntfs file system and
wahat it does.
enusre that both the drives hasve common file system
accessing ntfs file from fat32 there are many ways
but doe'nt look better.
