I had a volunteer come in to help our nonprofit and
didn't think twice about setting up a special user
account. I just let him log in as a Guest. Now, all the
work he's done is gone! Is there any way to recover the
Word files he left under "My Documents" or Desktop while
logged in as a Guest?

I would be SOOOOO grateful for any help!

Just have a local/network admin log in and copy the file
to somewhere else that you'll have access to.

I am the Administrator and the files don't show up
anywhere. I searched in the "All Users" under Documents
and Settings and under "Default User" so I think the
computer automatically deleted all the files and settings
saved while logged in as a Guest.

Even logged in as an administrator, I couldn't find any
files because they WERE deleted by the computer. Found
the article below on the Knowledge BAse:

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 165398
Profiles for Members of Guests Group Are Deleted

"If a user is added to the Guests group (or the Domain
Guests group, which belongs to the Guests group), when the
user logs on, that user's profile information is only
stored temporarily. When that user logs off, the entire
profile is deleted. This includes everything stored in the
%userprofile% directory: the user's registry hive
information, custom desktop icons, and so on."

ARGH!!! Wish I had known this before. All that work is
gone now.
