Recover Files saved under Guest Account?

This is also asked on the General message board, as I
wasn't sure where to post it. I had a volunteer come in
to our nonprofit and do some research, which he saved as
Word documents on his desktop/My Documents folder while
logged in as a Guest. Now they're gone! Is there any
way to recover them?
 
I already logged on as Administrator and the files don't
show up anywhere. I searched under Documents and
Settings, All Users and even Default User, but there's
nothing there. I think the computer deleted all files and
settings (even the shortcuts on the Desktop he added are
gone) that were saved while logged in as a Guest.

Hi
AFAIK the user profile deletion is by design for any Guest. Recovery is not
likely without a 3rd party tool. Use a different location to save files or use a
different user/group and adjust permissions accordingly.
