Help please folks-

Where does Outlook Express store its .dbx files in Win XP?
I need to recover them from a drive that was a C drive but is now in an
external enclosure, connected via USB.
The win XP OS will not boot at all, which is why the drive has been removed
from the computer, so that files can be copied elsewhere.
But the emails are hidden. Where?

I am trying to troubleshoot this for my daughter who lives some hundreds of
miles away.
So far, she has put the drive in an external enclosure and copied most
things to another computer, even tho she already had almost everything
backed up. Except a few, very recent, emails. Sods law!

TIA

Outlook Express will "normally" store the email DBF files in:

C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Application Data
\Identities\

Replace {username} with the exact user name account that was created
on the original hard drive.
