I have deleted some pictures that i would like to have back. Can anyone help
me, so i dont have to buy another program. Can xp find the deleted photos
for me?

Thanks in advance.

First...it may be worth a look in your
recycle bin.

And...maybe this freebie will work.

PC Inspector File Recovery
http://tinyurl.com/70lc

No guarantees....but after downloading
and installing PC Inspector File Recovery...
open the program and try the following
steps...

Choose Language...left click the large
Green Check mark...

On the next screen...left click the Red X...

Now...on your main screen...left click the
top tab in the left pane..."Open Drive"...

In the "Select Drive" window...select
your main drive...probably, "Windows Drive C:"

Left click the Green Check Mark...

After a quick scan, you should see the
following in your "Folders" column.

Root
Deleted
Lost
Searched

In the left pane...left click the..."Find Files"
tab. (third tab from top...looks like a magnifying
glass)

Enter your search criteria in the "Name"
field. Example...if you are searching for
..jpg files....enter the following.....
*.jpg (yes you need the asterisk)
This will find all .jpg files.

Left click the Green check mark.

After the scan...scroll through the list of
found files and if the files you wish to recover
have not been overwritten due to activity
on your hard drive hopefully you will be
successful.

Select a file or group of files and right
click the selection.

From the menu...select...Save To...

Choose the save to location and left click
the Green check mark.

Good luck.

I have not personally attempted to recover
files from a re-formatted hard drive but the
help files report that it's possible.

As long as the area of the disc the photos were located in, the files should
still be recoverable. If there have been any overwrites in that area,
recovery possibility chances are very small. I've used PC Inspector File
Recovery, as well as a paid program called Recover My Files, and had success
with both programs.

Thanks for your input.

Ack....Didn't proofread before I posted...:-) Should read:
As long as the area of the disc the photos were located in wasn't written
to, the files should still be recoverable.

I recommend that you use DataRecoveryWizard to recover your data.
The software provides very useful functions for data recovery:
DeleteRecovery, FormatRecovery, AdvancedRecovery, RawRecovery.

This program is an efficient disk recovery software providing
you a complete answer to data loss.

First thing I recommend you download the demo version of
DataRecoveryWizard. (http://www.easeus.com/download.htm)

Run the program and select the recovery mode "DeletedRecovery",
or "FormatRecovery", or "AdvancedRecovery".
