An acquantance has the following problem.
She deleted a group (category) of contacts from Outlook (2000) on a Win2000
computer. Apparently she did this a couple of months ago. She insists that she
did the same thing around the beginning of the year and an aquaintance of hers,
who worked for Dell at that time, had her do something involving changing dates
and then reboot her computer. After rebooting all the information that was on
her computer at that time, to which she dated her computer, was now back.
Now if this was XP, I could maybe see how somehow the restore function might be
able to do this, but she is using Win2000.
As far as I am aware, just changing the computer's date would not somehow
restore Outlook to a condition it was in on the date to which you changed your
computer. I can't think of any means by which to recover these contacts.
Does anyone know of anything?
