Also, be aware that syncing to a smart phone in no way recovers your Outlook
data. To recover your Outlook data you would use your backup of your Outlook
data file.

I have a BlackBerry Curve and I recovered my Contacts (some features were
missing) using Desktop Manager from BlackBerry. It recovered all the
important stuff but not the colors in the Categories.
