I have Win2000Pro and have 2 drives. The 1st is for
WIndows & program files; the 2nd for my data. I've
reinstalled Win200Pro on the 1st but now want to reuse my
data on the 2nd.

The system sees the disk after partitioning but want to
format it now. I don't want to lose the data on it so i
don't formated it.

How can i recover the data on it?

It's unclear which disk has been re-partitioned. C: or D:? Both?

If you partitioned the 2nd HD (the one with the data), there is no simple fix
that will let you read the data. Good thing you didn't format it - the data
is still on the drive, but it will cost you $$$ to get it. You will have to
take your drive to a shop that can recover the data. It won't be cheap, but
only you know whether recovering the data is worth it.

And if you partitioned the 2nd drive, my next question is Why?
