I have a .txt file which I try to link into Access 2007. However when I open
the table in Access, some records are missing. I have tried it on two
different computers and get the same results. Does anyone know anything
about this and how to overcome it? Thanks

PS the same happens when I import rather than link

I answered my own question: quote marks were the key. However, the records
above and below a specific one that was missing also had the same amount of
quote marks, but appeared in the linked table. Anyone knows why this would
be ?

Thanks

It will be great if you can give an example in the form of some data, but still try taking that text file into Excel if ofcourse data is not more than 65000 rows and then change the format of the whole data into Text and then take it into Access. Also you can try adding a primary key to the data when it is being imported into access,I don't know the reason but sometimes it works :).
