Am I correct in thinking moviemaker doesn't able to save to dvd?
Any clue as to how I can do this?
Thanks Scott

Hello,

Yes that's right....

You need a DVD authoring package. Such a program may have been supplied with
your DVD burner. If not I would recommendNero 6 Reloaded.....a dam good program

John,
Can I save the movie file as dvd format or should I start editing with
another package?
I want to be able to playback on my dvd player.
Thanks scott

Hello,

Capture and edit your video with Movie Maker and save as DV-AVI. Import that
into NEro and go through the DVD creation process....Check the very small (so
far) NERO Tutorial on my website.....Its not 100% relevant to you at the
moment...but it will be in time.

John,
OK I've done as suggested saved file as a mpeg video and burnt the dvd but
doesn't work on my dvd player with my tv.
Have I saved in the wrong format?
Thanks Scott

From the look of it yes....you need to follow the instructions given. In BNero
you never get to see the file type and you certainly dont need to convert it to
MPeg...Nero does the create DVD process all in one go...all you need to do is
create a source file in DV-AVI with movie maker and in nero design a menu
