hi
i may seem awkward to you but is there anyway i can record any media which
available on a website which does not have download option on to my computer
with the help of any software or tool?
Or the only option is thru the download link but it is not available for
every clip or video on the website
please help

Look in your browser cache for the file name that you see by viewing the
Source of the page.

IE, view menu, source.

look for that filename in: (start/run, type:)

%userprofile%/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files

It all depends on the file and protocol. (But the answer is usually
"yes.")

Can you provide an example?

for example i am watching a video on U TUBE there is no option to download it
how can still get that video file on my computer to watch it without using
the internet wheneve i want

Actually, once you have viewed it, you already have downloaded it. You
just need to know where to look.

Example:

is the link for this video:
"Daedelus - Fair Weather Friends"

After you viewed it, you may find the file on your hard drive in the
following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files

In the event it is hidden, you need to show hidden files:

Open any folder or Windows Explorer
Tools
Folder Options
View
Under "Hidden files and folders," make sure "Show hidden files and
folders" is selected.
Also, if not already done, uncheck "Hide extensions for known file
types."
Apply
Apply to All Folders

I would copy this file to another location and change the file name from

http://74.125.1.17/get_video?video_id=kRJ2YvRv3N4&origin=chi-v231.chi.youtube.com

to anything with an .flv extension, for example

fairweatherfriends.flv

You will need a player that plays .flv files. VLC player and Media
Player Classic are both popular.

Another method is to visit http://keepvid.com/

You will still need to change the file extension to .flv.
